Welcome back to the 1970’s.
WINNER 2019 ACE AWARD- BEST PRODUCTION SHOW
A time when cats were in the cradle, they filled up your senses, country roads took you home and the good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye.
‘70s Rewind’ is a collection of the greatest hits from the coolest decade of our lives, taking you back to the days of flower power and stairways to heaven – when people built bridges over troubled waters.
When we watched horror movies right there on our TV and the good old eagle rock was here to stay.
Multi-award winner Stephen Fisher-King revisits his guitar-playing roots alongside fellow award-winning entertainers Jo Elms and guitar-god Chris Connolly, as they re-create the time when here in Australia, nothing could save the Governor General.
Stephen has a long and established career as an entertainer, which includes numerous musical theatre productions (including CATS, Evita, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and The Rocky Horror Show).
He’s even sung the national anthem at the State of Origin!
Now he’s bringing audiences the best of the 1970s!
70s Rewind includes a selection of the much-loved music from the greatest bands and performers of the decade, including America, the Eagles, Bread, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, John Denver, Elton John, Cat Stevens and Fleetwood Mac- alongside Skyhooks, Mondo Rock and Dragon! (Maybe even a little Cold Chisel if you’re lucky!)
This exciting show is supported by authentic, historic video footage, which will transport you back to a time when you were probably still searching for a heart of gold.
70s Rewind can be performed as a production show/theatre style or as a dance band/corporate or party show.
THE CAST
STEPHEN FISHER-KING
Stephen Fisher-King is a multi-award winning entertainer.
With nine of the entertainment industry’s prestigious MO Awards to his name and eight Australian Club Entertainment Awards, Stephen has, several times, been named Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
He’s performed on the world’s most prestigious cruise lines and has even sung the National Anthem at the State of Origin.
Stephen has performed lead roles in major musical theatre productions including The Rocky Horror Show, Evita, Hello Dolly and Cats. He also shared the stage with Anthony Warlow and Sarah Brightman in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
A classically-trained baritone, Stephen is having so much fun, cranking out the hits of his childhood, and sharing the stage with such a fantastic team!
CHRIS CONNOLLY
Chris Connolly is an internationally renowned performing artist and one of Australia’s most awarded, versatile and respected performers.
He’s worked with the world’s greats including ABBA, George Benson and Barry White.
Chris has amassed an incredible 11 ACE Awards and 5 MO Awards, and is one of Australia’s most sought-after singer/guitarists.
JO ELMS
Jo is an award-winning singer/ songwriter whose amazing versatility needs to be heard to be believed.
An international talent, Jo performs at festivals and theatres across the United Kingdom and Australia, sharing her gorgeous vocals with appreciative audiences everywhere.
A warm and engaging performer, Jo brings the 70s to life as she recreates the hits of The Carpenters, Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles.
DI SOLOMON
Di is a dynamic powerhouse of fun and energy and the seven-time winner of the ACE Award’s Best Piano Vocalist.
Di has been blessed with a voice that tears through every style of music and her harmony’s are amazing. She’s supported international acts including Don McLean, Christopher Cross and The Searchers and has performed live on The Midday Show and Good Morning Australia.
Di’s also performed in plenty of stage shows playing tribute to the world’s best-loved entertainers, and is having a fantastic time re-creating the grooviest decade of them all!
BOB HOWE
With his trusty guitar slung over his shoulder, Bob has performed everywhere from the Sydney Opera House to Melbourne’s Myer Music Bowl, the Palomino Club in Las Angeles, and even Caesar’s Palace.
Bob’s no stranger to theatre, having performed in ‘Lennon-The Musical of a Legend’ and ‘Elvis-The Stage Musical’.
He’s been the musical director for Frank Ifield and even toured with Val Doonican!
Bob has three ACA awards to his credit and is loving re-creating the days when it was OK to wear Stubbies in public!
